Ranieri: “Everybody played well”
Two wins in two games: Ranieri is ending his week of memories on a high. The Manager earned two important victories in Parma Wednesday, and today in Cagliari, but most of all he is now more aware than ever of the real strength of his team. This strength certainly comes from the star players' skill, but also from character, something that Juventus have never lacked.
“This team's character is renowned throughout the world - Ranieri confirmed after the game -, Juve never give up, they never accept defeat. On top of this, the new players are starting to show the same mentality as the old ones. I know that we still have to work hard. The last results haven't made me change my mind on this, just like when we played the friendlies this summer”.
And finally a comment on the match against his old team Cagliari: “It was tough; Cagliari are very determined and they're hard to play against. They made us run around like nobody had done until now. We suffered particularly in the first half, then when Camoranesi came on we stepped up a gear. Buffon showed again that he's the best keeper in the world and he gave the team strength when we were struggling. I'd like to praise both of them, alongside all the other lads, for this victory”.
