All Juventus international back at base
A week to remember for Italy's representatives: on Tuesday, the “Olympic” Under 21 – the team that will take part in the 2008 Olympics in Peking – beat reigning European U21 Champions Holland; last night, it was Italy's first team’s turn to offer a special evening to the fans. In Zurich, against Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal, Donadoni's men played a good game and won authoritatively by 3-1, thanks to goals by Toni, Pirlo and Quagliarella.
An evening to remember for our very own Raffaele Palladino, who played for 75 minutes – he was then replaced by Quagliarella, one of Juventus' opponents in next Sunday game at Udinese - and went close to scoring when he hit the bar.
The Naples-born striker will already be re-joining Juventus' squad today, together with Grygera – whose Czech Republic lost last night's friendly against Poland – to take part in the afternoon training session, just as Nocerino did already yesterday, straight after coming back from the match in Ferrara played with the team coached by Casiraghi. Claudio Ranieri will thus now be able to prepare Sunday's game at the Friuli Stadium with a full squad.
