Chiellini: «Fundamental match in Bergamo»

Two days before the championship match against Atalanta, Giorgio Chiellini spoke on Juventus Channel: «For us it is a fundamental match but we must be careful because it won’t be easy at all. I met Antonio Conte, I know he is really counting on this and the team will be motivated even due to the fact that they are coming from two consecutive defeats».
«Juventus has not yet reached the maximum of its capabilities – stated Chiellini – because when you change tactics it is not easy to find the right equilibrium immediately. After a sparkling start, we paid for the absences, heavy ones, from Del Piero to Iaquinta, from Sissoko to Marchisio and Cannavaro.
When you do not have three matches per week you feel this less, but when you have to play in the championship and Champions League having substitutes is fundamental». When made to note that the critics are labeling the team as inconsistent, Giorgio answered: «We suffered for a crazy half hour in the match against Napoli. If that match had ended 2-0 we would now be talking of a positive streak» And the table? «For the time being we are not paying attention to it, at least till the 5th of December (Juventus-Inter)».
Looking at the European side of things, Chiellini is happy that all the Italian teams have a good chance of qualifying from their respective Champions League groups: «It is good for Italian football and the UEFA ranking» and comments about the result against Bordeaux , who have already qualified for the next round:
«You’re asking if I am surprised. Well, yes and no. It is true that against Bayern they played a great match but the German side without Ribery and Robben are not the same. We, however, - concluded Chiellini – will go to France to win. Even because this year, the teams in second place are weaker than last year and winning the group is very important».
