Fiorentina To Sign Almiron?

Fiorentina To Sign Almiron?

Fiorentina have signed Juventus midfielder, Sergio Almiron, on loan according to Il Corriere Dello Sport.

Just as the Viola secured Adrian Mutu’s contract extension, Pantaleo Corvino was busy wrapping up a deal with the Old Lady.

Almiron will arrive at the Artemio Franchi for an initial fee of €400,000, with Fiorentina having the option to buy half of his rights. It’s a massive boost for Cesare Prandelli as he continues to strengthen his side ahead of their Champions League adventure.

The Argentine midfielder never really got going in Turin and he failed to impress last term. He spent most of last season on-loan at Monaco before returning to Juve.

The latest reports in Italy suggest Almiron will undergo a medical today before completing the deal where he will be unveiled shortly after.

Almiron is then expected to join the rest of his team at their pre-season retreat in San Piero A Seve.
