Gigli Writes Open Letter To Juve Fans And Managers
Juventus president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli drew up a balance of the last two years as he wrote an open letter to the club's fans and his fellow managers.
The new Juventus of the post-Luciano Moggi and post-Calciopoli era is now two years old, and president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli wanted to remember them by writing an open letter aimed at fans, club socios and managers, to thank them for what has been has achieved in this period, in which the club have had to resurge from the ashes of Calciopoli.
"On 29 June 2006 the new Administration Council of Juventus was assembled;" it says on the letter, "new people, new rules inside the club, which in the subsequent weeks would be put to the test by a difficult reality."
On the drama of the relegation to Serie B and the suicide attempt of Gianluca Pessotto, he wrote: "Just like Gianluca, Juventus came back on its feet and regained self-confidence, and I think that today both can look to the future with renewed serenity.
"The last two years have been exciting, full of insecurities and also of fears, which have been compensated by the satisfaction of guiding a club able to make so many people passionate and earn the admiration of millions of people."
