Ranieri: «We need our supporters»
«We're here to work and get better. The fans have given us a great welcome and they'll have to sustain us and help us, just like they did last season». Claudio Ranieri introduced the Pinzolo training camp in an interview with Juventus Channel. The Manager supervised the team's first training session on the Pineta pitch. After the warm-up and some athletic training, the Bianconeri immediately started working with the ball, bouncing it about and carrying out individual technique exercises. «Our philosophy is the same as ever –Professor Capanna explained in another interview with Juventus Channel– The aim is to involve the players as much as possible during the whole of the session and working with the ball makes them stay more focused». Approximately two thousand enthusiastic supporters watched the team train: «We don't want to give false hopes to anyone – Ranieri said – but it's only fair we set our aims as high as possible from the start. In the meantime, let's think about getting into the Champions League proper and then try and go as far as possible. Is the word scudetto taboo? No, not at all, – the Manager remarked jokingly – all taboos feel in 1968... For the time being, we'll simply try and improve»
