Ranieri: «We wanted to thank the supporters»
Claudio Ranieri can sleep comfortably tonight thinking of the great match played by Juventus especially in the second half: «In the first half we did not manage to find our rhythm since they were pressing well and we were a bit slow. In the second half we were more determined and we tried to anticpate them taking over possession. We managed to put them in difficulty with Giovinco on one side and Salihamidzic on the other».
Giovinco had a great match: : «Even against Chelsea Giovinco had given us back some energy and today he played a splendid game as if the match against Chelsea never finished.» So did Salihamidzic: «In the first half I told Salihamidzic to take more initiative but we played more on the other side. In the second half we managed to attack from both sides. Poulsen and Marchisio were very aggressive and never gave the opponents the chance to think. These automations are not easy. We have the possibility now to train well in order to improve further even if we are in a good shape».
A victory with a special dedication: « We wanted to thank the supporters for the applause against Chelsea and we managed to do so».
