Bordeaux mission starts
The victory in Rome against Lazio is already part of the past. Even though most of the Serie A teams are still about to play their 3rd match day of the Serie A, the thoughts of all the Juventus players are already on European football, specifically the Champions League which kicks-off this week.
On Tuesday night at the Turin Olimpico there is no time to lose as Juventus play against Bordeaux. On Sunday morning, the team immediately got back to work in Vinovo.
Chiellini, who benefited of a day off was absent. The defender will not be on the field due to a suspension following last year’s match against Chelsea.
Diego will also be absent. The Brazilian, who suffered a muscular problem last night against Lazio will undergo tests tomorrow morning, specifically magnetic resonance tests which will bring to light the real injury.
The rest of the group worked regularly. The bianconeri who played against Lazio had an unwinding session under Massimo Neri. The other players had a normal session. These included birthday boy Fabio Cannavaro who today turned 36. Everyting is fine with Zebina who took part in the entire session with his mates.
The other two injured players worked separately. Grygera ran on the field followed closely by Claudio Gaudino. Alessandro Del Piero spent part of the session in the gym before emerging accompanied by Andrea Scanavino. In both cases, the availability for the Bordeaux match will be decided after the training session on the eve of the match scheduled for tomorrow morning in Vinovo.
