Rocchi could miss Juve match
Thursday 10 September, 2009
Tommaso Rocchi will probably miss Lazio's match with Juventus this weekend after picking up a knock in training.
The former Juventus youngster came off worse in a collision with young goalkeeper Tommaso Berni during a training match yesterday.
Earlier today he had the quadriceps of his right leg examined and the news from the club's medical staff has so far proved inconclusive.
“We'll see what happens. We'll evaluate the reactions of the leg in the next few hours. I still don't have a precise picture of the exams. It will be the medical and technical staff who take a decision,” Rocchi said.
Unfortunately for Lazio fans there are also doubts over the fitness of star striker Mauro Zarate.
The Argentine was also due at the club's medical facilities for a scan.
Laughing off suggestions he was crippled, Zarate turned serious and said: “I feel fine, but I don't know if I will make it for Saturday.”
Lazio have started the season in fine form, winning the Italian Super Cup and their opening two games in Serie A.
