Ferrara: «We always aim at winning»

Ferrara: «We always aim at winning»

The bianconeri are about to play the last pre-season friendly before beginning their adventure in the championship on Sunday. On Monday night at the Stadio San Siro, Ciro Ferrara’s team will be playing for the Trofeo Berlusconi «a traditional friendly which is played on a spectacular stage – stated Ferrara – where after all we always played great matches. It is a match which always better to win, after all like all other matches, from friendlies to official matches, because this must be the spirit. Participating is not enough. We must always win and for this reason we are not making preferences between our objectives but we will fighting on all fronts».

Asked what he thought of the rivals, Inter and Milan, in the Trofeo Tim, the coach answered: «Inter showed, if there was any need for this, that they are very strong. They are a point of reference for those who must chase. Milan, on the other hand had various problems in the preparatory phase but will want to do well in front of their public and their president. We want to do well too».

The Trofeo Berlusconi will once again see Leonardo opposed to Ferrara. When asked whether he is more relaxed then his colleague, Ferrara answered: «I am never relaxed. We are both sitting on important benches. I met Leonardo on holiday and then just before the TRofeo Tim. He is a nice and intelligent guy. His team had a difficult moment but I am sure it will be solved and even as from Monday we will see a different team».

With regards to the Trofeo Tim, Ferrara was asked what he liked in the two matches played: «Against Inter I liked the will to recover the result which means a never say die attitude. In the match against the rossoneri we played good football and created more».

Finally a comment about the enthusiasm surrounding the team: «It is good to work in such an atmosphere, but we will keep our feet on the ground. We know we have to work hard and improve certain things»
