Genoa To Sign Olivera

Genoa are about to sign former Juventus striker Ruben Olivera, and they are also after Fiorentina captain Dario Dainelli for the defence.

Genoa are ready to add another piece to their mosaic as they prepare to welcome striker Ruben Olivera. No signature has been made yet, but it's only a formality. Contrary to the situation in January, now it's the Uruguayan who wants to join the Rossoblu, after winning the league title with PeƱarol.

His former club Juventus have definitively released him, so Genoa will be able to pick him up for free, so it's a great deal also from the economic point of view.

Now all that remains is to be done is to sign a new defender. The primary objective is Fiorentina captain Dario Dainelli, who might be put on sale if the Viola can sign a new international defender following the departure of Tomas Ujfalusi.

Their first choice is Inter's Nicolas Burdisso, and if he would come Genoa would be first in line to sign Dainelli, who is also followed by the likes of Torino, Lazio and Sampdoria.
