It has been confirmed that a Juventus supporters’ coach caused Parma fan Matteo Bagnaresi’s death.

The 27-year-old was fatally struck by the bus at the Crocetta North service station near Turin.

Bagnaresi was taken to hospital in Asti but he lost his fight for life and it is now certain that the cause of death was the impact of the coach, despite the driver’s insistence that he didn’t see any collision.

The coach’s driver Siro Spolti now faces manslaughter charges in what will be an emotionally charged legal process.

The Stadio Olimpico clash between the Old Lady and the Ducali was postponed until April 16 as a sign of respect and a measure to prevent the possibility of crowd trouble.

The Parma fans are expected to pay their respects to Bagnaresi during this weekend’s Stadio Tardini clash against Lazio.

Bagnaresi is the second fan to die in tragic circumstances this season after Lazio supporter Gabriele Sandri was accidentally shot by a police officer in November.
