Werder Bremen fantasista Diego has declared his intention to stay at the German club despite heavy interest from Juventus.

The Brazilian has, along with Hamburg's Rafael Van Der Vaart, been repeatedly linked with the Turin giants as an answer to their creative deficiencies in midfield.

“I've played my best years since joining Werder, getting back into the national team. I feel really good here and I don't see why I should leave,” said the Selecao star.

“I still have three years on my contract. Perhaps I'll stay until the end and I want to be here for at least another season,” finished the 23-year-old.

Undeterred, Juventus are incredibly busy in the transfer market preparing for next season's increasingly likely return to Champions League football.

Corriere dello Sport has today reported that the Bianconeri are edging ever closer to signing Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini and Brazilian striker Amauri from Palermo.

More intriguing are reports regarding Juventus' interest in a string of defenders, most notably Bayern Munich left-back Philipp Lahm and Tottenham's Younes Kaboul.

According to Corriere a deal for Kaboul would involve the exchange of Juve's out of favour Portuguese international Tiago plus a fee of around £4m.
