Former Juventus director general Luciano Moggi has hit back at Hector Cuper's claims calciopoli lost him the 2002 Scudetto.

The Argentine tactician, now back in Serie A with Parma, stated that the scandal surrounding Luciano Moggi explained everything about his Inter failure.

He referred mainly to a game between Chievo and Inter, in which Ronaldo was denied what is still in Cuper's opinion a certain penalty.

Moggi was banned from football for five years after a series of wiretaps implicated him in an attempt to influence referees and match officials.

“The Nerazzurri lost that Scudetto because they didn't have any balls. They thought they'd already won in Rome before they'd even played there,” raged the disgraced Bianconero.

Inter travelled to Lazio on the final day of the season needing a win to secure the Serie A title.

However, they lost that vital match 4-2 and Juve, who were six points behind the Beneamata with five games to go, stormed through to snatch the Scudetto.

“Back then, Cuper admitted Inter had tiny balls. Obviously, the passing of time changes people,” concluded Moggi.
