Donadoni On His Future, And Del Piero's

Italy coach Roberto Donadoni talked about Alessandro Del Piero and his intention to keep coaching the Azzurri.

After months of questions surrounding Azzurri icon Alessandro Del Piero, who's having perhaps his best season ever at 33 years of age and scored a hat-trick against Atalanta yesterday, Donadoni finally sent some clear messages to the Juventus captain.

"I've never said that Del Piero has lost his place in the national team," said the coach, who left the player out of La Nazionale's most recent games.

"I don't think anyone can accuse me of that, also considering there's still some time left before the Euros."

Donadoni then talked about his future after rumours of another meeting with the Italian FA, who had offered the coach a contract extension earlier this year which did not satisfy him.

"My objective is to do well with the national team, and continue coaching it," he continued.

"I don't have other objectives and I'm completely focused on that. I have no intention of leaving, my goal is to continue coaching Italy."
