Cassano Rubbishes Juve Move Talk

Sampdoria star Antonio Cassano has rubbished talk in this morning’s press that he is set to join Juventus next year.

Cassano has long been admired by Juventus, and Tuttosport this morning claimed that the Bianconeri were close to finalizing a deal with the Genoa outfit that would see the forward move to Piemonte next June.

The fee agreed between the two clubs was said to be in the region of €18m, with Sebastian Giovinco to be thrown into the deal on-loan, so that he could gain experience at the Stadio Ferraris.

Tuttosport also claimed that Samp president Riccardo Garrone and transfer guru Giuseppe Marotta had given Juve the go-ahead to start talks with Cassano's agent Giuseppe Bozzo.

However, Cassano has rubbished these reports, and in front of the journalists present at the Bogliasco training camp, the 26-year-old jokingly turned to sports director Salvatore Asmini and said: "Director, but do they not know that I have signed for 10 years? Now they won’t bother me anymore.”

Cassano has long been linked with a move to Juventus, and indeed former transfer guru Luciano Moggi recently claimed that Talentino would have signed for the club in 2006 had the Calciopoli crisis not erupted.
