Transfer Talk : Amauri

Amauri: It Would Be A Dream To Play At Juventus

Palermo striker Amauri admits that it would be a dream for him to play for Italian giants Juventus.

There have been reports in Italian media that suggest the Brazilian will move to the Old Lady in the summer and Bianconeri chief, Giovanni Cobolli Gigli, also stated his desire to sign the forward.

It seems as if Amauri will indeed be moving to Turin at the end of the season after he reveals that it would be a dream move. The striker was talking after a testimonial match on Monday night where he played along side Del Piero.

“Del Piero is a champion and it’s an honour to play alongside him,” Amauri told Sky Sport Italia.

“Both Trezeguet and Del Piero are two world class strikers and it would be a dream for any player to play alongside them, why can’t it be my dream too?

“There have been rumours about a move but we’ll see what happens at the end.

“I am happy with what I have been doing and it would be any player’s dream to play at Juve."

Amauri also spoke about the possibilities of playing with Italy and going to Euro 2008.

“It would be an honour to play in the Euro’s with Italy but we have to see what happens,” he said. The striker scored a brace against Juventus on Sunday evening as his side beat the Bianconeri 3-2 at the Renzo Barbera in Sicily.
