Del Piero gets green light

Marcello Lippi can breathe a sigh of relief as Alessandro Del Piero has been passed fit to fly to Cyprus.
The Juventus captain pulled up during training yesterday at Coverciano with a muscular pain in his leg and there were fears that he could miss Italy's opening World Cup 2010 qualifier.
But tests have shown that the pain is nothing serious and should pass with a day of rest.
Del Piero will be available and participated in training today where he was able to convince fitness Coach Claudio Gaudino that he is match fit.
This morning, the players were paid a visit by famous Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, who is a close friend of Lippi.
After a Press conference in the afternoon, Italy's squad is due to fly from Pisa to Larnaca where they will contest their first Group 8 game tomorrow evening at 7.45pm.
