Legrottaglie and the Juventus defence had held off La Viola until the 89th minute, when striker Alberto Gilardino turned Legrottaglie's central defensive partner Olof Mellberg and found an important equalizer for the home side.
Speaking to Controcampo, Legrottaglie confessed his regrets: "There is great disappointment that the goal was conceded in the last minute, it's as if we lost the match.
"In the final minutes, after they were reduced to ten men, we lowered our guard a little bit," Legrottaglie clarified, describing the entertaining match which featured plenty of chances for both sides in the second half.
Legrottaglie has been re-called to Marcello Lippi's national team squad alongside Fiorentina goal scorer Gilardino and commented on the striker's finish against Gianluigi Buffon.
"In the area, Gilardino used his skill well in protecting the ball," explained the ex-Chievo player.
Ironically, Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli had earlier stated that the last gasp equalizer was like a victory for his side. Juventus' next Serie A match will be against Udinese at the Stadio Olimpico in Turin.
