Player Ratings:
Manninger 6.5 – Deputised well for Buffon once again, pulling off a few stunning saves, including a great save in the penalty shoot out.
Grygera 6 – Not his usual attacking self, but was strong in defence and kept Napoli’s attacking wingers in check.
Mellberg 6.5 – Did very well in defence throughout the encounter and provided a game winning block near the end of extra time.
De Ceglie 6 – Was unfortunate to have to leave the pitch after 20 minutes following an impressive tackle on Gargano that ended badly for him.
Legrottaglie 7 – A calm rock at the back for the Bianconeri, his influence in defence made a huge difference for Juventus.
Marchioni 6 – Wasted a good chance to score early on, but generally useful as part of the attacking setup.
Poulsen 5 – Was invisible for great parts of the match, and contributed very little to the midfield battle, where Sissoko was picking up most of the slack.
Sissoko 6.5 – The midfielder was his usual battling self, stealing the ball and breaking down Napoli attacks in the centre, but he was lucky not to pay for a horrible penalty kick.
Del Piero 7 – The captain led admirably from the front, doing well to create opportunities, but his free kicks lacked their usual threat.
Iaquinta 6 – Caught offside a few times and looked visibly frustrated as his control let him down on a number of occasions.
Giovinco 6 – Kept out of the game for the most part, he had a few moments of inspiration, but on the whole he was disappointing.
