Claudio Ranieri Excited By Chelsea Clash
The 'Tinkerman' cannot wait to go back to the place where he made his name as a coach...
Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri is looking forward to a welcome return to Stamford Bridge, as well as meeting up with former boss Roman Abramovic when Chelsea host the Italians in two months.
The Bianconeri were paired with the 'Tinkerman's' old side during Friday morning's Champions League last 16 draw and he cannot wait.
Ranieri left west London on sour terms in 2004 when he was sacked and replaced by Jose Mourinho.
He has been waiting for the chance to return to Chelsea for five years as he attempts to go back to prove a point. However, he has warned that it will not be easy.
"It's a pleasure going back to England and play Chelsea," Ranieri told Juventus Channel.
"We have to analyse their poor results against the big teams as they have had plenty of injuries.
"We cannot underestimate them at all, it will be a disaster for them if they don't win it as they are billed to.
"They have the best players in the world and we have to make sure we are in top form when we play them."
The club's directors are focussing on Europe this term. Many will remember Juve winning the trophy in 1996 in this year's venue; the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.
