Juve try to secure starlets
Tuesday 9 December, 2008
Juventus are planning to tie down young talents Paolo De Ceglie and Claudio Marchisio to new deals.
The Bianconeri have brought through a number of rising stars since their return from the wilderness of Serie A.
Talented left-back De Ceglie has recently caught they eye of Bundesliga sides Bayern Munich and Wolfsburg.
Tuttosport claims that Juve are ready to respond to that pressure by securing the 22-year-old's services on a long-term basis.
Midfielder Marchisio has also found some impressive form and Claudio Ranieri sees him as an important figure.
The homegrown No 19 is reportedly on a number of top European sides' radars, but he has stressed that he is happiest staying in Turin.
Juve have already safeguarded Sebastian Giovinco with a long-term contract and have shown they are willing to offer a competitive salary to prospects for the future.
