Alberto Aquilani

Aquilani’s Father Says Yes To Juve

The father of Alberto Aquilani is reported to have agreed personal terms for his son to move to Juventus, however Roma are still refusing to consider a sale.

Juventus have made no secret of their admiration for Aquilani, and have recently resurrected their attempts to sign the Italy international.

The 23-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from the Stadio Olimpico, as talks over a new contract have not been going well. Aquilani has been asking for around €2.5m in wages per year, but until now Roma have only been willing to offer €1.5m.

Yesterday there were reports that the schemer was close to agreeing a new deal, but it seems these were unfounded rumours.

Tuttosport now claims that Aquilani’s father, and co-representative, Claudio, has been on the phone to Juve director Jean-Claude Blanc, and has agreed personal terms for his son to move to Turin.

Juventus now just have to organise a transfer fee with Roma, but it seems that the capital club have no intention of selling. Blanc was on the phone yesterday to Roma executive director Rosella Sensi, and she made it perfectly clear that Aquilani will be going nowhere.
