Juve Interested In Inler

Juve Interested In Inler

Juventus are considering making a move for Udinese star Gokhan Inler, according to Tuttosport.

Swiss centre midfielder Inler was a virtual unknown when he signed for Udinese from Zurich last summer, and indeed only really received his chance due to injuries to established centre midfielders Giampiero Pinzi and Christian Obodo.

However the 23-year-old proved to be an absolute revelation, and was one of the best midfielders in the whole of Serie A last term.

Inler’s outstanding displays have led to interest from a whole host of Europe’s giants, including Arsenal, Liverpool and Inter Milan.
Juventus are now considering making a move themselves. Transfer director Alessio Secco has been out of the news recently, but Tuttosport says he has held a series of meetings with Udinese sporting director Pietro Leonardi.

One of the main topics of discussion has been Inler, and Juve are now pondering over whether to make an official offer.

Inler played all three games for Switzerland at Euro 2008, and was one of his country’s best players as they unluckily crashed out in the first round.
