Trezeguet Is ‘Untouchable’

Juve: Trezeguet Is ‘Untouchable’

Juventus director Gianpaolo Montali has attempted to ward off intense interest from Barcelona for David Trezeguet by labelling the player as "untouchable.

Trezeguet has been strongly linked with a summer move to the Blaugrana over the past week or so, and the Spanish giants' coach Josep Guardiola has reportedly made the Frenchman his number one transfer aim.

A few days ago Juventus sporting director Jean Claude Blanc declared that there was no chance that Trezeguet would be sold, however only yesterday there was fresh speculation in Italy that the Old Lady would be willing to accept a bid of €25 million.

This appeared to be supported by Trezeguet's agent Antonio Caliendo, who stated: "The offer will have to be very high to convince Juve to give up a centre forward of this level."

Bianconeri director Gianpaolo Montali has now attempted to end all the paper talk, and has labelled Trezeguet as "untouchable".

The 30-year-old had a stunning 2007/08 campaign, finishing second in the race for the Capocannoniere after scoring 20 goals in Serie A. Incredibly this wasn't enough for him to earn a place in the France Euro 2008 squad.
