Giovinco Returns To Old Lady

Juventus starlet Sebastian Giovinco has officially completed his move back to the Old Lady after spending last season out on loan.

The attacking midfielder was shipped out to Empoli in order to gain more first team football last term and he racked up 35 appearances for the Tuscan side. He scored six times for Empoli and he raised eyebrows around Serie A with Palermo keen on landing the skilful player.

Juventus have now taken him back for the season ahead and a statement on the club’s official website reads:

“The news every Bianconeri fan wanted to hear is that Sebastian Giovinco has now returned and he is 100 percent a Juventus player.

“Juventus have taken him back for good and Empoli no longer have the right to buy him in future.

“Therefore Giovinco will be available for Claudio ranieri for the 2008/09 season.”

Giovinco is one of Italy’s most promising youngster’s and he was recent named player of the tournament at the Toulon football competition.

The Turin-born player will be relishing the chance to impress his side and he cannot wait to get started as he looks forward to playing alongside his idol, Alessandro Del Piero.
