What a lovely Easter, Juventus
The evening that all Juventus' fans had been waiting for in the last two years was scheduled for Easter eve. But this was no Easter surprise. Juventus dominated Inter in Milan and beat them by 2-1.
It all happened in the second half. Camoranesi scored first, like he'd done at home too. Trezeguet got the second. Del Piero went close to a third twice (it would've been a rightful award for him on the night he equalled Scirea for numbers of games played at Juve) and at the end the Nerazzurri almost got a sensational draw, as Maniche scored and then hit the post during injury time.
Ranieri's team showed all their strength and got three golden points in terms of qualifying for the Champions League, as Roma, Fiorentina and AC Milan had all won in the afternoon.
Eight finals to go: the next one will be in eight days' time, at the Olimpico, against Parma. First off, though, two deserved days of rest for everybody. And Happy Easter to everyone. An Easter which will not be forgotten.
