Alex: We're all behind Claudio

Juventus captain Alessandro Del Piero has stressed his faith in boss Claudio Ranieri after last night’s narrow victory over Napoli.
In recent weeks, Ranieri has come under fire from the fans and the media, but last night’s win has left the Old Lady with an eight-point cushion over fifth-placed Milan.
Champions League football is looking increasingly likely for the Bianconeri and Alex believes Ranieri deserves a large portion of the credit.
“The Coach is doing a fantastic job,” he bellowed on Sky Sport Italia.
“The statistics speak for themselves and it’s these numbers that the club will use to decide his future. Ranieri has to relax because he has the complete support of all of us.”
The Cadetti champions had to wait for an 88th-minute goal from Vincenzo Iaquinta, after a Del Piero assist, to claim all three points yesterday evening.
“They had lots of defenders behind the ball at the end of the game and so the goal was so important.
“Napoli did well to close the game down, but we tried to get in behind them and create something a little different.
“I found the first half a little tough and improved after the interval. It wasn’t an easy game and we didn’t show our true strength. But in the end, the hunger of this team won out.”
