Juve’s Modesto proposal

Juventus are being linked with Reggina star Francesco Modesto as they look to strengthen their squad this summer.
The Old Lady have smoothly settled back into Serie A and look set to fulfill their season objective and secure Champions League football.
However, if the Bianconeri are to challenge in Europe and make a Scudetto push next term, they will need to bring in reinforcements.
Modesto is a talented left wing-back, who is waiting for a chance with one of the peninsula’s giants after an impressive three years in Reggio Calabria.
The Crotone native was on the brink of a transfer to Roma last summer, but the move collapsed at the 11th hour.
The 26-year-old is also a target for Udinese and Reggina are expected to demand a fee of around £3m.
Juve may see Modesto as a fallback option should their advances for Udinese stopper Andrea Dossena be rebuffed.
The Friulani are reportedly determined to keep the former Verona man, who made his Azzurri debut against South Africa last November and he is under contract until 2012.
