Juventus striker David Trezeguet praised the team's character following the 1-0 home victory over Napoli.
Juventus striker David Trezeguet, currently the joint Serie A top scorer along with Genoa's Marco Borriello, talked about the narrow 1-0 victory over Napoli tonight.
"It's a very important victory," he said. "What mattered today were the three points. We didn't play very well. We have an important advantage over other teams, but we can still improve a lot. All in all, we're having a very good season. The key to this team's success is the will to do well.
"We're still lacking something in our play, but we are playing a great season and that's what matters. We played a forgettable first half, then we improved in the second half, and [match-winner Vincenzo] Iaquinta] helped us up front. We showed we are strong on the mental level as we won this game at the death.
"I'm disappointed not to have scored myself, but we are happy with the result. The group is working well and that's the important thing."
On Tiago's performance, which was praised by coach Claudio Ranieri, he said: "Tiago is showing his value. In the second half he improved, along with the whole team."
