Anelka fears Juve threat

Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka has stressed his respect for Champions League opponents Juventus and one Bianconeri player in particular.

Juve won Group H by getting the better of Real Madrid to earn their place in the Champions League last 16.

They will be up against a Chelsea side, who have had a tough time of late but boast some star names, such as Anelka.

“It will be a tough game,” Anelka told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “Juventus are a top team.

“It's always difficult to play against the Italians because they are tactically the strongest in Europe.

“We have to score at home and we need to keep a clean sheet if we are to go to Turin and get the result in the second leg.

“It's bad news for us that David Trezeguet has returned from injury,” Anelka continued.

“I admire David - he is a true goal scorer and there aren't many like him. He was born to score and if you give him half a chance he will take it.”
