Chelsea's Malouda To Join Juventus As Nedved Replacement - Report

Chelsea's Malouda To Join Juventus As Nedved Replacement - Report

The latest twist to the Nedved replacement saga has hit Chelsea, as Malouda is linked with the role in Turin...

Juventus are ready to raid Chelsea for French midfielder Florent Malouda as they try to fill the void which will be left by Pavel Nedved should he retire at the end of the season.

The Bianconeri are currently looking around the grounds as they search for someone who will take over from the former Lazio man at the end of term.

A number of players have popped up on the Bianconeri's radar including Napoli's Marek Hamsik, Liverpool's Dirk Kuyt and and Werder Bremen ace Diego Ribas.

However, French sports paper L'Equipe claims the Bianconeri are lining up a bid for the out of sorts Chelsea star. It will not be easy though as the Bianconeri will have to fight off stiff competition from Milan and Spanish side Villarreal as they are also interested in the French international.

The favourite, however remains Diego. Juve coach Claudio Ranieri revealed earlier this week that he likes the Brazilian, and the club are making enquiries. Turin-based Tuttosport also claims the Old Lady is set to hold talks with Diego's father.

Therefore the Malouda move seems unlikely at this stage. Nedved has not been offered a new deal, leading to question marks being put against his future at the club.
