Juventus Goalkeeper Buffon Wary Of Lazio

Gianluigi Buffon returned to official action on Wednesday in the 3-0 Coppa Italia victory over Catania.

The Bianconeri are now preparing for a difficult match against Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome and Buffon is pleased to be back on the field.

"In case of emergencies I can take a few more days to rest," said the Italian international. "Juventus can trust in [back-up goalkeeper Alex] Manninger."

Lazio currently sit seventh place in Serie A, but Buffon is certain they will cause problems for he and his teammates as he recalled last season's encounter.

"I remember we weren't doing so well," he said, "but that [Alessandro Del Piero] double allowed us to take another step forward and win a match that we probably did not deserve to."

Buffon hopes to be at his best on Sunday, as Lazio's frontmen of Tommasso Rocchi, Goran Pandev, and Mauro Zarate, have scored a total of over 20 goals between them this season.
