Buffon: «With Blanc as president a new Juventus cycle has begun»

At the moment he is with the national team, ready to reach more important goals like the qualification to the next world cup and the 100th cap, but even from Coverciano, Gigi Buffon thinks of Juventus. The number one was the protagonist of a press conference and amongst the many questions with regards to the Italian national team came also those regarding Juventus.
Even from a few hundreds of kilometers from Turin the news about the change in presidency was received with interest. This is what Buffon thinks: «Blanc as president means the start of a new cycle for Juventus». With regards to the rumors of a possible return of Marcello Lippi in a managerial post :
« At my age and with my experience in the world of football I am no longer surprised by anything. I think, however, that it is still too early to speak of this. I know about Lippi’s professionalism and I think that with a World Cup coming up his mind is totally focused on this. I don’t think he is thinking of finding a job after the Summer of 2010».
With regards to the current situation of Ferrara’s team, Gigi spoke in particular of two team mates that is Diego and Amauri. «We all admired the true Diego against Roma and now he must simply regain his best physical condition following the muscular problems.
A lot has been said about Amauri because he is finding it hard to score but I know how useful he is to Juventus even in this way».
