The Avvocato commemorated by fans
Gianni Agnelli died on January 24 2003. Five years on, the Avvocato is commemorated today with several initiatives, some of which connected to Juventus.
Specifically, Juventus' websites Juventus.com and JuventusMember.com have given voice to the fans, collecting their tributes.
FIAT Deputy Chairman John Elkann wished to thank all the fans with the following message
My dear Juventini friends,
I'm very touched reading all the messages you wrote on the Juventus Member website to commemorate my grandfather, who was undoubtedly one of the most passionate Juve fans of all time.
My grandfather loved sport, competition, challenge. And most of all he loved Juventus: their determination, the flashes of genius of their stars and their unmistakable style.
Juventus have gone through very difficult times in recent years. But thanks to the help of their extraordinary fans they're winning the challenge of getting back to the top. Our aim for this year is to get back in Europe and I'm convinced we'll be able to reach it, honouring the history and the values that have made our Juve great.
