Amauri Enjoys 'Beautiful Start'

Amauri Enjoys 'Beautiful Start'

After his most impressive Juventus debut, Amauri described his feelings to reporters and praised the atmosphere he has found at his new club.

Speaking with Sky Sport Italia, Amauri commented on his five-goal debut in Juventus’ friendly match yesterday against Serie C2 side Mezzocorona: “It was certainly a beautiful way for me to start with my new team, and even though our opponents were a C2 side, it was important for us to start in this way.”

With Amauri already sending strong signals to Ranieri, Juve supporters are dreaming of a possible trident attack made up of Amauri, Trezeguet, and Del Piero. When pressed about his new manager’s attacking options, the ex-Palermo man sidestepped talk of the trident, however: “This is a matter that Ranieri will have to decide on. We just want to do well, whether we’re playing with two or three strikers, the important thing is to get results.”

The 28-year-old Brazilian also spoke of his warm reception in Turin: “I have received compliments from everyone. I’ve found a fantastic group of people here who have allowed me to make a smooth transition.”
