Juventus Keen To Sign Pranjic

Juventus Keen To Sign Pranjic

After an impressive debut with Croatia at Euro 2008, Danijel Pranjic has become Juve’s latest target.

Having been linked Roma and endorsed by Palermo’s Igor Budan in recent days, Croatian international Danijel Pranjic has now come under the radar at Juventus.

In fact, latest reports are claiming the 26-year-old winger, who plays his club football in the Eredivisie with SC Heerenveen, is now close to signing with the Bianconeri.

Pranjic himself confirmed that he is looking for a new challenge and that a move is imminent: “I feel I am ready for a new adventure. Last year I prolonged my contract until 2012, however, I now want to play at the highest level.”

Pranjic has the ability to adapt his game to play closer to a team’s backline, but has also shown to be effective when taking on a man in one-on-one situations and going for goal. Pranjic has been with Heerenveen since 2005, where he has found the net sixteen times and contributed to a number of goals for the Dutch club.

Pranjic showed his inclination to go forward at Euro 2008 as well, where he set up Croatia’s first goal against Germany and the only goal of the match in Croatia’s 1-0 win over Poland.
