Amauri: « We are still hopeful and will fight till the very end»
Amauri has been an asset to the team since his arrival last Summer and yet today’s goal was a long-awaited one after a period of great play but no scoring.
«I would have been happier if we won and I didn’t score. We had so many goal opportunities, posts and yet we didn’t manage to win. We are still hopeful and will fight till the very end. It is a very particular moment. Up to a few months ago perhaps we still made mistakes but we scored. We must be more determined up front. I am not one who seeks excuses. We tried over and over but scored only one goal, contrary to them who had one chance and scored. We lost a bit the sense of position on dead balls because up to a few months ago if I didn’t manage to get the high balls there was always somebody on the second post».
