Injury Forces Sissoko To Miss Juventus Match Against Sampdoria - Report

The Mali international is unlikely to play on Sunday, leaving the Bianconeri with a less than perfect midfield...

Juventus midfielder Mohamed Sissoko is in serious doubt for Sunday's home clash with Sampdoria as he has not recovered from a minor knock picked up during Sunday's win over Catania.

The Mali international helped his side to a valuable 2-1 win in Sicily with an excellent display.

However, Sissoko paid the price after he injured his foot. Doctors believed he had fractured a bone, but subsequent tests revealed bruising and excluded a break.

Juventus' medical staff gave the player the all-clear to resume training, but he has been complaining regarding on-going pain.

This has led to Tuttomercato.com being certain that the midfielder will miss the game on Sunday afternoon.

It's not what coach Claudio Ranieri needed. Hasan Salihamidzic and Cristiano Zanetti are still injured and Claudio Marchisio still hasn't recovered from the knock he picked up against Catania.

Mauro Camoranesi is on international duty and may be overworked by Sunday.

This could leave the midfield area looking weak against a 'Doria side who will be keen on making a good impression in Turin
