Juventus: Cristiano Zanetti Could Miss Up To Four Months
The midfielder is set for a longer than expected spell on the sidelines as a result of the injury he picked up on the weekend.
Juventus hosted Cagliari at the Stadio Olimpico in Turin just days ago, in a match that arguably proved to be the club’s most disappointing of the season.
The Bianconeri were stunned at their home fortress, as the Sardinians continued their impressive run of form with a well deserved 3-2 victory on the night.
To make matters worse for the Old Lady, Cristiano Zanetti was forced to withdraw from the field after just 21 minutes of play, as a result of a severe thigh strain in his left leg.
It was initially reported that the midfielder would be out for around two months, however it has now been suggested that this period of absence could increase, as the strain is more serious than first thought.
It’s a bitter blow to the club and to the player, and so hopefully for their sake, Zanetti can make a speedy recovery.
