Ferrara: «In Rome to win again»

Ferrara: «In Rome to win again»

From Rome to Rome. After having won against the giallorossi at the Olimpico before the break, Juventus is ready to return to the capital. With the international matches archived, the bianconeri will be visiting Lazio who also have full points.

It will therefore be the first real clash at the top of the table this season, even though it is still the third match day of the first round. This is owed to Ballardini’s biancocelesti who have been authentic protagonists in the start to this season. «We will be playing against a team which has the same amount of points as us and which immediately achieved important results, especially in the Super Cup. I know they have some problems with the line-up and that Rocchi and Zarate might not be available but Cruz will be there for sure and he is a player who often caused harm to Juventus having scored even against me. In any case, I hope to find the best Lazio opposing us. We have a delicate and difficult match ahead of us against a team which will create various difficulties. We are returning to Rome immediately, but we have already forgotten about the victory we had a fortnight ago even though we want to win again and continue down the same road».

Between the first and the second match at the Olimpico two weeks have passed with the international matches in between. These matches handed back Ferrara a fully charged team which was strengthened further by the arrival of Grosso. «They all got back safe and sound even from a psychological point of view thanks to the many victories obtained. Only Grygera suffered a blow which must be evaluated. Caceres returned today whilst Felipe Melo will join us in Rome but there are no problems with him. The same applies to Grosso who immediately fit in well. I think there will be some changes with regards to the last match also due to Tuesday’s Champions League match».

Changes and turn-over are words which we will be hearing quite often in the coming months. The match in Rome sees the first long tour de force of the season. With the championship and the Champions League matches up to the next international break, the team will be playing 7 matches in 21 days. «With so many matches to be played it will be harder to recuperate the physical and mental energies and we will have to manage our strengths. We knew this and this is why we wanted to build an ample team. I will have to rely on everyone».
