EXCLUSIVE: Dirk Kuyt's Management Team Know Nothing Of Juventus Move
It seems the Liverpool forward will not be moving to Turin any time soon, as Goal.com can exclusively reveal.
The management team of Liverpool hitman Dirk Kuyt have poured cold water on reports that their client is set for a big money move to Italian giants Juventus.
The Dutchman has been heavily linked with the Bianconeri in recent days, with many sources claiming that he is viewed as a direct replacement for Czech Republic veteran Pavel Nedved, who is almost certain to retire in the summer.
Il Corriere dello Sport this morning reported that Juventus are ready to launch a €30 million bid for the 28-year-old, and that Kuyt’s agent Robert Jansen has already spoken to the club, and is set to begin negotiations next week.
“Nothing has happened,” a high profile member of Kuyt’s management team, who wished to remain anonymous, exclusively told Goal.com.
“They write so many things. We don’t know anything. I think it is all lies.”
When asked specifically if Jansen had met with Juventus, and was due to commence transfer talks, the official replied:
“We don’t know anything about these rumours. We know nothing about the whole situation.
“A lot of things could happen, but at the moment we know nothing. There is no news.”
Kuyt joined Liverpool from Feyenoord in 2006, and has since made 115 appearances for the Merseysiders, scoring 32 goals.
