Melo: Fiorentina Can Beat Juventus If The Ref Doesn't Help Them
The Brazilian is still bitter from last week as he launches crticism towards match officials...
Fiorentina midfielder Felipe Melo believes his side can beat Juventus on Saturday night, as long as the referee does his job properly.
The Brazilian midfielder is still reeling from last Saturday's 1-0 loss to Milan at San Siro where a number of decisions went against his side. Melo is trying to put that unfortunate game behind him, hoping maximum points against Juve heals the pain.
Fiorentina's race for the Champions League places has taken a knock, but confidence is high within the Artemio Franchi as the Viola try to derail Juve's Scudetto chase.
"Juventus are stronger than Milan and it will be hard for us," Melo told Tuttosport.
"If we play like we did against Milan, and if the ref does his job well, then we will beat Juve."
Melo is relishing the chance to be the hero against the Old Lady and he knows a win will mean plenty to the fans given the great rivalry between both clubs.
"Winning against Juventus will be great for us and our fans. Players will be missing for them, but they have still shown their value this season," concluded Melo.
