Juventus Director Secco Closes Door To Hamsik And Cassano
Young Juventus executive Secco has revealed that the Bianconeri are unlikely to capture Hamsik or Cassano, however, they have yet to make a decision on Werder star Diego.
Juventus are apparently in the process of planning their summer transfer campaign and it has been suggested that the Corso Galileo Ferraris powers that they could revive their interest in Sampdoria fantasista Antonio Cassano.
“We were indeed interested in him when we were relegated to Serie B,” Secco confessed on Sky Sport show Specialecalciomercato.
“He is an extraordinary footballer, but we have already plenty of cover in that position.”
After wowing Serie A fans last term, Napoli starlet Marek Hamsik has disappointed this season, despite being the Azzurri’s top scorer, and some have suggested that he has set his sights on a move to a top European club.
“I have heard a lot of inaccurate stories about Hamsik,” stated Secco. “It’s not true that we are preparing a bid, because we don’t do things that way. I know that Napoli are not willing to sell him, so it’s the end of the story.”
But press reports claim that Juve are edging closer to Werder Bremen ace Diego and will table a sizeable offer next summer.
“We are following him, but have yet to make a decision,” he insisted. “[Claudio] Ranieri utilizes a 4-4-2 system at the moment, but he could possibly change it in the future and there could be room for the Brazilian.”
