Florent Malouda May Leave Chelsea For Juventus
Italian giants Juventus have made enquiries about taking Chelsea's French winger on loan until the end of the season.
Juventus have made an offer to Chelsea to take the London outfit's French winger Florent Malouda on loan until the end of the season. The Turin club had been previously linked with a possible move for the Frenchman at the end of the season, though it seems that they have decided instead to move now for the player.
The winger, who joined Chelsea from Lyon in 2007 for £13.5 million, has struggled to make a positive impression at Stamford Bridge after making an impressive beginning to his time in England. Three successive Chelsea managers in Jose Mourinho, Avram Grant and now Luiz Felipe Scolari have all lost pateince with a player who seems to lack the necessary physicality and aggression for English football.
The 28-year-old had also been a rumoured target for Spanish outfit Villarreal, who reportedly baulked at the £9 million price tag attached to the player by Chelsea. Now though, it would seem the French international has been offered a way out of his English nightmare by Juventus.
Whether he will accept it remains to be seen, though many Chelsea supporters would doubtless urge him to do so. Juventus have enquired about taking the player on loan until the end of the season, with a view to a permanent move in the summer.
