Sebastian Giovinco Not Leaving Juventus - Agent
The Atomic Ant’s representative has rushed to quash transfer rumours and insists his client will stay put in Turin.
Sebastian Giovinco returned to Juventus in the summer after a positive loan spell with Empoli but the 21-year-old has played a peripheral role in the first four months of the campaign. In turn, this has prompted speculation that he could ask for a loan move this month to get more playing time.
“Giovinco will certainly remain at Juve,” agent Andrea D’Amico told Tuttomercatoweb.
“This is just paper talk and his future has never been called into question. For him to leave the club, there would have to be an agreement between both parties and, I repeat, nobody wants this.
“The lad obviously expects to play more, but he is still young and has to be happy with the chances he is given.”
And these chances have been very rare so far; Giovinco has played just over 350 minutes in Serie A, netting a single goal with a superb free-kick in Lecce.
“The best way is for him to do his talking on the pitch but... he has yet to prove he is worthy of the Juve shirt,” continued D’Amico.
“Moreover, he needs to put to good use the experience of the great champions who are in the Bianconeri squad in order to improve.
“Nonetheless, I feel he deserves to be applauded for what he has done up until now.”
Giovinco is expected to feature from the start in tonight's Coppa Italia clash with Catania at the Stadio Olimpico.
