Trezeguet Finally Ready For Juventus Return
Juventus striker David Trezeguet has recovered from his knee operation and is ready to make his return to the first team.
Ahead of his much-awaited return from injury, Juventus striker David Trezeguet talked about his current condition, saying that he is ready to make his comeback within the next week. The Frenchman was operated to both his knees on September 23rd.
"I'm doing very well, between now and next week I will be available to be called up by the coach," he said. "I re-joined my team mates last week. I went through some difficult months but today I am fine. I feel ready to return and give everything.
"I can't wait to refind my place in the team. We have bought a great striker in Amauri, he works very well with [Alessandro] Del Piero. But from my part I intend to win my place back and give my contribution."
The 31-year-old added that he doesn't believe in a return to the national team: "I miss the French national team. But I had made the decision to quit Les Bleus and leave my place to a footballer who could fit into [Raymond] Domenech's tactics. Even if I should do well with Juventus, I think Domenech has other ideas."
Asked if he thought Domenech is a top-class coach, he said: "I've had the chance of working with [Jean] Tigana, [Marcello] Lippi, [Carlo] Ancelotti, [Fabio] Capello, [Didier] Deschamps. These are top-level coaches who have won titles. To be a part of the best you have to win titles. When you consider that, it's hard to accept certain decisions..."
