Medical tests for Manninger and Molinaro. Back to training this afternoon
With the first round having come to an end and with Juventus second three points behind Inter, the team must immediately begin thinking of the second round.
After the difficult away match against Lazio, another difficult match awaits the bianconeri. Saturday night the Olimpico will host Cesare Prandelli’s Fiorentina.
With six days to go to the match, the atmosphere is already being felt. Since yesterday morning, in fact the ticket sales have begun. For all information with regards to this please visit the ticket booth section.
If the supporters have already begun thinking of the match, on the other hand the team will begin to do so as from today. The team will be back to training this afternoon in Vinovo. The Juventus coach will thus begin preparing the match, evaluating the possible recoveries and those who are unavailable. Two players who will definitely miss the match are Molinaro and Sissoko who will be suspended after having received another yellow card during the match in Rome.
Molinaro and Manninger spent the rest day in the clinic. Both having emerged with injury from the match against Lazio, the two players underwent tests which gave comforting results.
Molinaro underwent a test to verify the entity of the distortion to the left wrist. The result was negative and excluded any fractures. The defender, who will anyway be absent against the viola, will have to wear protection for a few days.
Manninger suffered a blow to his left knee in an encounter with Pandev at the end of the match. Since the goalkeeper has suffered an injury to the same knee a few years ago (the injury at that time was a problem with the posterior cruciate), he underwent magnetic resonance testing which had a negative result. At the moment the knee is not swollen but the Austrian goalkeeper will rest for a few days, returning to training on Thursday morning.
