Ranieri: «We paid for the heat and jet lag»
The tour of China and Australia began with a close defeat against South China. 26 hours were too few to get used to the Hong Kong climate and to allow a full recovery from jet lag; this was Claudio Ranieri's theory: «We landed only yesterday morning. We were affected by jet lag, but also by the great heat and humidity. In any case the lads did well and we could've drawn. Our opponents ran a lot and this was demonstrated by the fact that many of them, despite being used to this climate, ended with cramps. The important thing is that there were no injuries. Pasquato and Vecchione? They moved around well and helped out the veterans».
