Milan & Juve Quarrel For Quagliarella
Milan & Juve Quarrel For Quagliarella
According to reports in Italy, Milan and Juventus are set to go toe-to-toe this summer for the signature of Udinese forward Fabio Quagliarella.
Quagliarella has had a fine first season at the Stadio Friuli, forming an excellent forward partnership with Antonio Di Natale, and contributing 12 of the 29 goals the pair scored in Serie A.
The 25-year-old’s fine form has seen him win a place in Italy’s Euro 2008 squad, where many believe his versatility at being able to play either on the right, left or centre of the attack, could prove valuable.
It is for this reason that Milan are rumoured to be heavily interested in signing Quagliarella, as they believe he can adapt to any formation and to any number of strike partners.
The Rossoneri are well known to be in the market for at least one forward, however they will face serious competition for Quagliarella from Juventus.
The Bianconeri are searching for a replacement for Vincenzo Iaquinta, who looks likely to leave after starting just nine Serie A games last season. The 28-year-old is being chased by both Roma and Napoli, both who are offering him first team football.
